Launching his career with a Big Four firm in 1983, Howard established his own practice just four years later—and, in late 2001, merged his independent CPA firm into Somerset’s operations. Currently, Howard focuses on general Business Advisory, Mergers and Acquisitions and ACA Compliance engagements, and also conducts informative presentations for clients, as well as outside events. He is motivated to service established organizations looking to push themselves to higher levels of achievement.

Howard has a passion for supporting the entrepreneurial community.  He has consistently expressed that passion with action over a 30+ year career including:

  • Creating Somerset’s Practical MBA seminar series, the Somerset CEO roundtables, and the Organizational Deadly Sins and Managing, Measuring and Monitoring Your Business (3M) workshops.
  • Developing expertise in orchestrating enterprise growth through utilizing incentive compensation as an alignment and engagement tool, helping organizations gain a deep understanding of their most profitable customer relationships, uncovering a business’s hidden profit improvement potential and optimizing cash conversion cycles in order to create an efficient and effective platform for growth.

Howard is a husband to Stacey for 31 years and his greatest achievement is being the father to Lily who is an outstanding young woman and self-employed performing artist. He is also dedicated to daily Tai chi practice. If given the opportunity to dine with three people from any era, Howard would choose Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein and the Dalai Lama.
