Prior to joining Somerset, Kevin was a partner in the tax practice of a Big Four firm, where he provided international tax services for several industries. He has significant experience consulting on U.S. and state tax issues for service organizations engaged in finance, law, professional sports and health care. He supervises the accounts of professional race car drivers and active and retired NFL, NBA and MLB players. In addition, he supervises the tax accounting for the professional sports franchises.
He oversees Somerset’s international inbound and outbound tax practice, including expatriate services for U.S. executives. The Somerset staff he oversees are fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.
Kevin serves as Somerset’s liaison with the international network of BDO (the world’s fifth-largest accounting network) and its Alliance firms. He also oversees the tax department’s request for private letter rulings, and he represent his clients before the U.S. Tax Court and other tax authorities.
A frequent guest lecturer for various educational institutions and business organizations, Kevin’s articles have been featured in national publications.
