Safety Measures During the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As we actively monitor developments of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and well-being of our communities, clients and employees is our highest priority. We are taking specific precautions to protect our staff and visitors during the current outbreak of the Coronavirus. Our focus to date has been on educating our staff and encouraging prevention activities to protect themselves, their families and our clients against infection. We are utilizing the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) as primary resources for information and updates.

While our biggest priority is the health and safety of our clients and employees, we also remain absolutely committed to limiting the business impact of this pandemic. At this time, our office remains open and we are dedicated to maintaining the quality and timeliness of our services. However, at this time, we ask you to please consider some of these alternatives to in office meetings.

  • If you currently have an appointment set up with one of our accountants, you may consider an alternative method to get your information to your accountant. You can electronically upload your tax documents using our Secure File Drop. A follow up call can be scheduled to handle any outstanding items.
  • We will be having discussions with clients regarding contingency plans to deliver on-site work on a remote basis.
  • When your return is complete, we will provide SafeSend Returns for delivery. SafeSend Returns deliver your return to you electronically and securely. You will receive an electronic copy of your forms and will be able to sign your return electronically. You won’t even have to leave your house or business to complete your tax filings.

Please be assured that while we remain focused on health and safety, we have taken steps to make sure we can continue to deliver the level of quality, excellence and timeliness you are accustomed to from Somerset. While we hope conditions do not require Somerset having to temporarily close down the office, we do have contingency plans in place to ensure our continued service.

Thank you for your continued support and loyal business as we all navigate these unique circumstances. Please feel free to reach out to your advisor at 317-472-2200 or with any questions or concerns about our policies or concerns you may have with regard to your own operations. We are here and ready to help.
