Hayley A. DeMasie, MSA, of Somerset’s Training & Development Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. Hayley worked as an accountant for a few years at Somerset, before transitioning roles and starting the Training & Development Team. She focuses on new hire orientation and onboarding, software training and support, intern and staff mentoring and scheduling.
Jeffrey C. Hoots, CPA, of Somerset’s Tax Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. Jeff enjoys working with business owning entrepreneurs. He grew up in Northwest Indiana nearby Lake Michigan where he now frequently vacations. Before entering public accounting in 2009, he gained experience and passion for closely held businesses while operating a successful bakery and deli with his wife and her parents.
Cole House, CPA, of Somerset’s Private Business Advisory Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. Cole works with owner-operated businesses of all sizes on their accounting, financial reporting and tax needs. He primarily works with those companies needing reviews, compilations or business tax returns, as well as the tax returns for the business owners. He also works with banks in the design and performance of due diligence services for potential extensions of credit and credit monitoring.
Patrick A. Primmer, CPA, of Somerset’s Tax Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. He joined Somerset in 2019 after his firm and Somerset merged together. When not at Somerset, you can find Pat at the gym or spending time with friends.
Jordan A. Shady, CPA, of Somerset’s Assurance Services Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. Jordan is responsible for leading engagement teams on financial statement audit and other attestation engagements. He works clients in various industries, but has a concentration in the construction, architecture and engineering industries. He is also heavily involved in the employee benefit plan practice, including 401(k), ESOP, and health & welfare plan audits.
Shelly Shi, CPA, CFE, MSA, of Somerset’s Tax Team, has been promoted to Senior Manager. Shelly provides tax consulting, planning and compliance for partnerships, closely held businesses and individuals. She strives to provide excellent services to her clients. She is also in charge of firm Form 5500 preparation. Prior to joining Somerset in 2016, she spent eight years at a local CPA firm managing tax returns for Housing and Urban Development, low income housing, not-for-profit and small businesses.
