Students & New Grads
Internships & Full Time Opportunities
WHAT TO EXPECT
During a spring internship, students will work alongside our tax experts as well as travel offsite and meet clients with our assurance teams. Students will be expected to work 40+ hours a week, so we highly recommend classes are not taken during the internship. We know that becoming a well-rounded accountant doesn’t happen the moment you walk in the door. Our interns will receive a great deal of training from our in-house trainers and on the job. Interns will be given verbal and written feedback on their progress throughout the internship as well as an assigned mentor to help them reach their full potential. Our goal is for students to learn what it’s like to be a staff accountant at our firm.
REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting major
- GPA: Overall 3.0 minimum
- U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (U.S.) work authorization
TIMEFRAME
- January through April
WHAT TO EXPECT
New full-time employees join the team as generalists. This provides the opportunity to do various types of work such as tax, assurance and advising for many different industries, including construction, architecture and engineering, real estate, health care, dealership and more. Working as a generalist has two benefits for those starting their career:
- Gain knowledge and experience from a wide range of service areas and industries
- Understand your strengths and a potential direction for your career
This transition process, based on hands-on experience, helps newcomers make an informed decision about choosing a career path that best fits their strengths and passion. When new graduates come on board, they are partnered with a mentor who will get to know them, communicate expectations, answer questions, address concerns and be available to them as a helpful resource. These mentors help new staff achieve their career goals by building relationships and providing constructive training and feedback. Along with a mentor, new full-time employees will be paired with a transition peer who will help make the transition from college to career a little easier!
REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting major
- GPA: Overall 3.0 minimum
- U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (U.S.) work authorization
TIMEFRAME
